The main hall of the SER in The Hague is renovated. During the renovation, the room acoustics have been updated for the use of a discussion system. As sightlines to the forum and video projection were also issues to be solved, the use of camera's was proposed by Peutz. With these cameras the forum can be projected on screen. Also the ratio of the video projection was changed from 3:4 to 16:9, generating more head clearance for the forum. As the room would become multifunctional with different interior set ups (carré table set up, theatre setup, etc.) the infrastructure proved to be challenging. A wireless discussion system was proposed, in order to facilitate all sorts of meeting setups, with the possibility to change the room quickly and efficiently. To solve the problem of the divided controls of the systems (AV, light, darkening, etc.), an easy to use overall control touchscreens as the user interface at the president- and technician location were introduced.
